Job summary

Harvard University’s Strategic Procurement Department seeks a Contracts Strategy Analyst to optimize contract review and automate low‑risk agreements. You will manage high‑visibility contracts, drive scalable solutions, and collaborate with Legal, Risk, and IT to streamline workflows.

The role emphasizes strategic thinking, data integrity, and training to enable a new contracting platform while maintaining Harvard’s standards of integrity and compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; JD strongly preferred.
Experience negotiating complex agreements.
Familiarity with contract lifecycle systems such as Ironclad, Jaggaer, and Zip.

Responsibilities

Provide advice on contract structuring, risk, and negotiation strategy.
Lead automation and standardization of low‑risk agreements (NDAs, hotel/events, some software).
Support the design and maintenance of templates, playbooks, and AI-enabled workflows.
Oversee intake, triage, and contract tracking.
Maintain contract data integrity and reporting insights.
Support implementation of a new procurement orchestration system.
