Job summary

UTMB Health is seeking a Manager of Contracting Services to lead a multi-level contracting team in developing, negotiating, and managing contracts for supplies, equipment, and services. You will oversee lifecycle processes and partner with Clinical Value Analysis, Procurement, and IT to drive value and compliance across the organization.

The role emphasizes strategic leadership, staff development, and collaboration with institutional stakeholders to achieve financial and operational excellence

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus five years of healthcare contracting, strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain experience.
• Must obtain CPSM, CPPB, CPPO, CTCM, or equivalent within 18 months of appointment.
• Equivalent education/experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight for all contract lifecycle activities from drafting to termination.
• Develop mentoring plans to grow staff capabilities across levels.
• Collaborate with Category Management, VA, Procurement, and IT to align strategies and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with State of Texas rules, UT System requirements, and regulatory standards.
