Job summary

The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB Health) is seeking a strategic Manager of Contracting Services to lead a multi-level contracting team. You will oversee contract development, negotiation, execution, and lifecycle management for supplies, equipment, and services across the organization, ensuring value, compliance, and alignment with clinical and operational goals.

Bachelor's degree and five years in healthcare contracting, sourcing, or procurement.
Must obtain CPSM/CPPB/CPPO/CTCM or equivalent within 18 months of appointment.

Responsibilities

Oversee contract lifecycle from drafting to renewal, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
Lead staff development, mentoring, and performance assessments to advance contracting careers.
Collaborate with Category Management, Clinical Value Analysis, IT, finance, and legal to align contracting with institutional objectives.
Manage competitive bidding and supplier relations to optimize value and performance.
Ensure governance, risk management, and compliance across all contracting activities.
