Job summary

American Electric Power is seeking a Contract Analyst in the Columbus area to support the contract lifecycle within the Procurement Center of Excellence. You will draft, review and negotiate contracts, administer the CLM system, and maintain dashboards for real-time visibility into spend and expirations.

The role requires 4+ years in contracts/supply chain, strong data analytics, and the ability to coordinate across legal, finance, and procurement teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of four (4) years of related contract and/or supply chain experience.
• Experience drafting and negotiating contracts and amendments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in procurement planning by monitoring upcoming contract expirations and coordinating with stakeholders.
• Manage Contract Lifecycle Management system and data integrity across related workflows.
• Draft, review and negotiate low to moderately complex contracts and amendments using templates and playbooks.
• Serve as primary administrator for the CLM system, ensuring data integrity and user access management.
• Monitor contract workflows to ensure timely approvals across legal, finance, procurement and other stakeholders.
• Regularly audit the CLM database for accurate metadata and ensure integrated systems are updated.
• Own and update Procurement dashboards (Power BI, Agiloft) to provide real-time visibility into contract status, spend and expiration.
• Generate periodic reports on KPIs such as contract cycle time, renewal success rates and vendor compliance.
• Maintain the library of procurement templates and ensure documents align with legal requirements.
• Lead negotiation processes and develop strategies for moderate complex negotiations.
