Job summary

Financial Plus Credit Union, located in Michigan, seeks a Consumer Lending Operations Manager to lead the lending team, drive loan growth, ensure excellent member service, and maintain regulatory compliance. This role reports to the VP of Consumer Lending and supervises loan processors and support staff.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in finance or related field with 3–5 years in consumer lending and 2–3 years in management, plus strong communications and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years in consumer lending, with 2–3 years in a leadership role (preferred).
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft 365 (M365).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the consumer lending operations team to ensure smooth loan processing and servicing.
• Develop, implement and monitor lending policies to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Improve operational efficiency and service quality in lending operations.
• Manage workload to ensure timely and accurate loan applications processing.
• Collaborate with other departments to implement best practices for loan processing and servicing.
• Analyze loan portfolios to assess risk, profitability, and growth opportunities.
• Monitor KPIs to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate with marketing to promote lending products and increase member engagement.
