Job summary

S+B James Construction, a design-build commercial contractor serving Southern Oregon and Northern California, seeks a Project Manager for our Southern Oregon office. You will lead project teams, manage budgets, and ensure timely completion while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will maintain strong owner and subcontractor relationships, develop schedules with the superintendent, and oversee project documentation and risk management. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience as Project Manager.
• OSHA 30.
• Procore or similar construction management software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint) and Bluebeam or Adobe.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Overall project and team performance.
• Maintain relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, project teams and staff.
• Estimate and develop project budgets.
• Prepare and maintain the project schedule with the superintendent.
• Understand and administer owner contracts.
• Mitigate project risk and communicate with stakeholders effectively.
• Project financial management including Subcontracts, Change Orders, Budget Adjustments, Owner SOV & Billings, Monthly Status Reports.
• Project coordination and communication; manage and assist the project superintendent.
• Responsible for job site safety adherence.
• Lead all project meetings.
• Project documentation: review RFIs/submittals and subcontractor insurance compliance.
• Responsible for staff development and training.
