Job summary

J National is seeking an energetic Estimator to drive detailed, multi-trade estimates from concept through final pricing. You will communicate cost plans to stakeholders, negotiate with vendors, and collaborate with Self-Perform Groups, Materials Teams, and Manufacturing to ensure accurate, competitive bids.

The role focuses on strategic cost management, value engineering opportunities, and maintaining a centralized estimating database to support project execution from estimate to completion.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of construction estimating experience, ideally in multi-family or large-scale renovation.
• Natural seller with ability to present ideas and win buy-in across audiences.
• Confident knowledge of Roofing, Siding, Fire/Flood Restoration, and both ground-up and complex renovations.
• Self-starter with drive for growth and momentum in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop estimates across multiple project phases and trades.
• Present cost plans persuasively to internal stakeholders, clients, and subcontractors.
• Drive takeoff execution and scope clarity across divisions (Roofing, Siding, Restoration, Ground-up).
• Solicit and negotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors to secure quality partnerships.
• Analyze bid variances and support strategic pricing and competitive positioning.
