Job summary

System One in Washington, DC seeks a Sr. Contract Specialist (Construction) for a contract role.

You will handle non-standardized procurements, including construction contracts, and develop the Solicitation Offer and Award Package (SOA) for complex procurements while coordinating with stakeholders for completeness and quality. You will plan, organize, and perform multiple tasks, stay current with laws and policies, evaluate bids, lead negotiations, and ensure compliance across the procurement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, management, economics, mathematics, English, or government.
• Minimum of 10+ years of procurement experience, handling full procurement cycles.
• Excellent knowledge of contracting and procurement regulations, laws, practices, and standards.
• Experience with government and commercial statutes, regulations, and solicitation processes.
• Ability to read, interpret, and compose complex procurement documents.
• Strong analytical, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle non-standardized and varied procurements including construction contracts.
• Develop the SOA for complex procurements and coordinate with stakeholders for completeness and quality.
• Plan, organize, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks while staying current with market trends and policies.
• Evaluate bids for compliance and oversee technical and cost evaluations.
• Lead negotiations and develop strategies with vendors and the Board.
• Oversee procurement process adherence, issues, protests, and disputes.
