Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority is seeking a Contracting Officer (Construction) to manage large-dollar construction contracts across Reagan National and Dulles airports. This role supports pre-award and post-award activities within the Procurement and Contracts Department.

The position requires five years of experience in construction procurement, expertise in contract types and negotiation, and the ability to lead multiple procurements while working with stakeholders across the

Qualifications

• Five years of progressively responsible experience in construction administration or construction procurement and contracting, including negotiation of contract changes and claims resolutions.
• Experience with various contract types (firm-fixed-price, fixed unit price, etc.) and contracting methods (RFPs, RFQs, IFBs).
• Ability to manage multiple major procurements concurrently and communicate effectively.

Responsabilités

• Carry out the entire procurement cycle from cradle to grave.
• Review procurement requests and develop evaluation factors for contracts.
• Prepare solicitation documents and negotiate terms favorable to the Airports Authority.
• Coordinate procurement methods and contract administration for professional services and consulting contracts.
• Monitor contractor performance and approve invoices; prepare contract modifications as needed.
