Job summary

InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown seeks a Conference/Conventions Services Supervisor to oversee all conference activities, coordinate client events, and maximize profitability. You will work with Sales, Culinary, and Banquet teams to ensure flawless service from planning through execution.

The role requires supervising a catering team, coordinating with departments, and delivering exceptional guest experiences at a luxury property in downtown Los Angeles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in marketing or related field or equivalent, with 3+ years in catering or related supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Assist directing the day-to-day activities of the conference/convention services team, plan, organize, and assign work and communicate goals.
• Assist clients with menu planning, food and beverage coordination, table arrangements, décor options, etc.
• Negotiate food and beverage prices, function space, and hotel services within approved guidelines.
• Schedule conventions and business group activities and coordinate with other hotel departments to facilitate services.
• Conduct banquet and catering facility tours and entertain clients in accordance with policy.
• Plan and conduct pre-event and post-event meetings with clients and catering staff.
• Monitor function setup and breakdown to meet schedule and standards.
• Promote teamwork and coordinate with Sales, Executive Chef, and Banquet staff.
