Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a compliance and operational risk professional to execute second line of defense oversight for Front Line Units, Control Functions, and third parties in New York. You will ensure alignment with the Global Compliance and Operational Risk Management policies and escalate risks as needed.

You will assess FLU processes, manage risk inventories, and provide independent risk reporting to governance bodies, helping the bank stay ahead of regulatory changes while supporting

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Compliance and Operational Risk, Market Risk, Technology, or Product Management.
• Familiarity with electronic trading strategies and algorithms.
• Data analysis skills with large datasets and spreadsheets.
• Understanding of Operational Risk issues.
• Ability to multitask and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Knowledge of electronic trading regulatory trends and future requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assesses risks and effectiveness of FLU processes and controls for compliance with laws and regulations.
• Engages in independent compliance and operational risk oversight of FLU or CF performance and third-party relationships.
• Identifies and escalates problems and drives actions to address root causes of risks.
• Manages inventory of processes, risks, controls, and metrics for risk appetite and limits.
• Assists in developing independent risk management reporting for governance routines.
• Analyzes applicable laws and provides clear risk guidance to stakeholders.
