Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Compensation Consultant to act as a strategic internal advisor for compensation initiatives at the Broadmoor Campus. This role will influence and improve policies, align programs with business needs, and help attract and retain top talent.

Responsibilities include job design, market pricing, modeling, cross-functional collaboration, and mentoring colleagues, while maintaining confidentiality in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited college or university.
• 5+ years of experience in the compensation field within an analytical and/or consulting role.
• Experience with market pricing tools (MarketPay) and/or other compensation management systems (Workday Advanced Compensation).

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and consultative advice across core areas of compensation.
• Develop job descriptions and perform job evaluations using external market data.
• Review salary recommendations for new hires, promotions, transfers, and demotions.
• Participate in cross-functional projects on compensation initiatives (job architecture, salary structure design, etc.).
• Participate in salary surveys and perform compensation modeling and analyses.
• Develop compensation programs, policies, guidelines, procedures, and processes.
