Job summary

PowerSecure Brand seeks a Communications Specialist to develop and implement internal and external communication strategies. You’ll write for news sites, executive talking points and video scripts, and coordinate events with various teams.

We value a Bachelor’s degree in journalism or communications and at least 3 years’ experience in PR, writing or related fields. The role is hybrid and involves collaboration with executives and departments across the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in journalism, public relations or communications.
• 3+ years in public relations, writing, communications, marketing or related field.
• Experience in the electric utility field a plus.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with senior executives and diverse clients.
• Demonstrates safety, inclusion, performance and integrity values.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic communications counsel across company accounts.
• Develop internal/external communications strategies and messages.
• Collaborate with marketing to execute comprehensive campaigns.
• Write intranet content, executive talking points, emails, social posts, scripts.
• Support PR efforts, including storm and emergency communications.
• Contribute to campaign ideation and content creation for target audiences.
• Offer copywriting/editing support for promotional materials.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and self-direction.
