Job summary

Responsibilities include writing news stories, developing content for the website, and coordinating with the marketing team for social media and media relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in print/digital journalism, communication, PR or related field with two years of experience in PR or writing, or six years equivalent.
• Experience writing for publication, editing to AP style, and producing print and digital newsletters and magazines.

Responsibilities

• Write news stories, press releases, and feature pieces about students, faculty, alumni, and staff.
• Edit and design newsletters, magazines, flyers, brochures, and information booklets.
• Develop content supporting recruitment, retention, and university advancement efforts.
• Lead editors for annual publications and manage publication timelines.
• Create and publish e-newsletters, web content, and social media posts.
• Write speeches and remarks for deans and leaders; coordinate media relations.
• Collaborate with leadership and communications teams to boost reputation and outreach.
