Job summary

The University of South Carolina seeks an Assistant Director for Communication and Partnerships to lead communications, publications, websites, and social media for New Student Orientation. You will also oversee the office's partnership program, securing external funding and in-kind support.

You will supervise a Graduate Assistant and Marketing Interns, coordinate marketing systems such as VizualZen and Advantage Design Group, and collaborate with university committees to advance orientation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a job-related field and 4+ years of job-related experience.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Direct university orientation experience preferred.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Experience with marketing, graphic design, video editing, social media, and photography.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and edit marketing and informational materials; plan print, email, CRM, and social media strategies; maintain university presence online.
• Manage Orientation Partners Program: cultivate partnerships, process invoices, coordinate materials, recruit and evaluate partnerships.
• Coordinate office assessment and data analytics; create annual Impact Report.
• Support orientation programming; operate sessions; handle customer service and crisis management.
• Supervise Graduate Assistant and Marketing Interns; provide feedback.
• Assist with Orientation systems and platforms VizualZen and Advantage Design Group.
• Present at meetings and publish on orientation topics.
