Job summary

AIA Minnesota is seeking a Communications & Public Outreach Manager to lead member and public communications, social media, and event outreach. The role spans overseeing residential programming, the Lake Superior Design Retreat, and local chapters, with collaboration across staff and volunteers.

Responsibilities include content creation, media relations support, sponsor coordination, and website updates. Strong design and writing skills, plus project management, are essential for success in this

Qualifications

  • Experience providing exceptional service to customers/members and the public.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English.
  • Experience and skill in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Familiarity with WordPress and Squarespace website tools.

Responsibilities

  • Write copy for member and public communications via email, newsletters, and promotions.
  • Manage social media calendars and posts for AIA Minnesota, chapters, and MAF.
  • Create graphics and prepare photos in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
  • Edit and proof digital and print publications.
  • Coordinate sponsor outreach and ensure sponsor benefits are fulfilled.
  • Staff HBAT and assist with event logistics and communications.
  • Support LSDR planning, content, signage, and materials.
  • Update website content and chapter pages.
  • Support office operations and event registrations.
