Job summary

Eckerd Connects is seeking a highly organized Communications & Public Affairs Operations Manager to serve as the operational leader of the department. This role requires walking into meetings, structuring next steps, coordinating people, and driving momentum to ensure work gets done.

The position offers a remote arrangement with travel as needed and an annual salary of $95,000–$103,000. The department integrates communications, executive visibility, government relations, and vendor management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in communications, project management, public affairs, executive support, government relations, nonprofit operations, stakeholder engagement, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the department’s central coordinator, integrating communications, executive visibility, government relations, thought leadership, stakeholder engagement, vendor management, and strategic initiatives into one cohesive operating system.
• Coordinate and manage communications and public affairs projects from planning through execution.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, editorial calendars, communications calendars, executive visibility calendars, timelines, action-item trackers, and status reports.
• Ensure deadlines are met while maintaining accountability across internal teams, executive leadership, consultants, and vendors.
• Prepare weekly department dashboards, executive briefings, status reports, and priority updates.
