Job summary

Northrop Grumman is recruiting a Strategic Communications Manager in Linthicum, MD to lead the program communications team and shape external-facing campaigns. The role reports to the Director of Strategic Communications and focuses on content development, strategy execution, and mentoring a geographically dispersed team.

You will ensure communications plans include market insights, and partner with colleagues to drive thought leadership and business objectives across channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing or related field with 8 years managing external-facing communications projects, channels or campaigns -OR- a master's degree and 6 years of relevant communications experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience as a program communicator, developing and deploying external-facing strategic communications campaigns and measuring business impact.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance.
• US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team responsible for creation of content for business focus areas and priorities.
• Partner with communications colleagues to develop a holistic and integrated communication strategy to achieve business and communication goals.
• Prepare and share metrics on communications efforts and leverage results to evolve strategies.
