Job summary

Michael Hsu Office of Architecture seeks an experienced Communications Manager for our Austin, TX office. This hybrid role supports the Marketing team with PR, client relations, and brand storytelling across projects in Texas and beyond.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong writing, editing, and coordination skills, experience directing photographers, and a proactive approach to brand consistency. The position is based in Austin with in-person work several days weekly.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years in communications, PR, marketing, or client relations.
• Experience in architecture/design/real estate or hospitality is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as day‑to‑day contact with external PR agency, coordinating pitches and media alerts.
• Draft and edit press materials, project narratives, and executive talking points in a consistent voice.
• Maintain the firm's social media brand voice, posts, and credits across channels.
• Manage the awards submissions calendar and assist with entry writing and deadlines.
• Track thought‑leadership opportunities and leadership visibility moments for principals.
• Handle confidentiality and embargo protocols for unannounced projects.
