The Low Income Investment Fund (LIIF) is seeking a Director of Strategic Communications to strengthen its external voice and visibility across housing, early care and education, and community investment. The role translates complex policy and financing work into compelling stories for funders, policymakers, and communities.

Reporting to the Vice President of Communications, you will drive enterprise-wide narratives, oversee publications, and lead a team including consultants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5-8 years of progressive experience in communications, journalism, public affairs, or related fields.
• Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead storytelling, messaging and content creation across LIIF’s external communications.
• Develop organization-wide messaging aligning strategic plan, impact, and work across housing, early care and education, lending and policy.
• Translate complex financial and policy concepts into clear, accessible narratives for diverse audiences.
• Oversee publications including annual report, op-eds, speeches, blogs and more.
• Manage consultants and vendors to support external communications efforts.
