Equimundo: Center for Masculinities and Social Justice in Washington, DC, seeks a full-time Senior Communications Officer to lead the organization's communications strategy. You will oversee content for press releases, newsletters, social media, and the website, ensuring consistent messaging and coordinated campaigns.

You will manage media relations, plan public events, and supervise the communications team while collaborating with internal partners to amplify Equimundo’s global work and impact.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or 3+ years in communications.
• Experience in media outreach and press relations.
• Ability to translate research into public-facing content.
• Experience building organizational narratives across platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic communications plans for Equimundo’s mission and programs.
• Oversee content creation for press releases, newsletters, social media, and website.
• Manage media relations, coordinate public events, and support internal communications.
• Collaborate with Research, Programs, Advocacy, and CEO Office to align messaging.
• Supervise the Senior Communications Associate and Multimedia Associate; provide feedback.
• Manage vendors and consultants in public relations and design.
