Job summary

AABR Inc. in New York, NY, seeks a Senior Manager, Strategic Communications to lead the organization's integrated communications strategy, strengthening alignment, visibility, and support for fundraising and stakeholder engagement.

Working with the Chief Advancement Officer and senior leadership, you will develop messaging, oversee internal and external communications, and manage partners to ensure brand standards and timely delivery across channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, English, or related field.
• 7–10 years of progressive communications experience, including strategic communications or nonprofit communications.
• Experience developing integrated communications strategies and executive communications.
• Experience managing communications projects, agencies, or external vendors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an enterprise-wide communications strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Establish messaging frameworks, editorial standards, and communication processes.
• Serve as liaison to public relations, marketing, creative, and digital communications consultants.
• Lead internal communications initiatives to strengthen employee engagement and organizational alignment.
• Develop executive communications, leadership messaging, presentations, and announcements.
• Oversee intranet and internal communications channels.
• Lead organizational storytelling and content strategy across print and digital platforms.
• Develop communications supporting fundraising campaigns and major events.
• Oversee production of annual report and key publications.
• Identify opportunities to increase organizational visibility and thought leadership.
• Provide strategic oversight for website content, email communications, and social media messaging.
