Qualifications

• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, compelling communications.
• Experience independently leading communications campaigns or projects.
• Excellent organizational and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Experience supervising staff or providing direction to communications professionals.
• Experience managing integrated editorial or communications calendars.
• Familiarity with email marketing, media relations, and analytics platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute communications strategies and campaigns across social media, email, web, and media relations.
• Partner with teams across the organization to translate goals into compelling stories and content.
• Provide strategic communications leadership for advocacy, community, and museum practice initiatives.
• Oversee press relations, develop pitches, and manage media materials with the AVP on high-profile matters.
• Coordinate executive communications and identify opportunities for thought leadership and speaking engagements.
• Direct day-to-day MarComm planning, calendars, and performance reviews.
