Job summary

AES Corporation in the United States seeks a Communications Lead Analyst to support strategic communications for the US Renewables & Power portfolio. You will strengthen AES's reputation, develop engagement plans, and craft clear narratives for stakeholders across projects and markets.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategic Communications, you will drive media relations, digital communications, thought leadership, and timely project communications with strong collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in communications, public affairs, public relations, marketing, journalism, stakeholder engagement, or related field.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant discipline.
• Experience supporting renewable energy, utilities, infrastructure, sustainability, or regulated industries.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex information into clear messages for varied audiences.
• Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills.
• Experience building relationships across diverse teams and stakeholder groups.
• Experience with agencies, consultants, vendors, or external partners.
• Sound judgment managing sensitive information with professionalism.
• Familiarity with media monitoring, digital communications, content management, social listening, or project management platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Ability to travel as required by business needs.

Responsibilities

• Support AES external communications strategy to strengthen reputation as an innovative energy leader.
• Develop and execute plans for project milestones across lifecycle stages.
• Create narratives and engagement strategies for community meetings, events, and media opportunities.
• Develop campaigns that support business objectives, policy initiatives, and regulatory engagement.
• Transform complex information into clear content for diverse audiences.
• Produce materials including FAQs, fact sheets, presentations, newsletters, and website content.
