Job summary

UC Irvine Health is seeking a Communications Specialist to lead comprehensive communications strategies for the HR division. You will craft messages, manage ZotMail newsletters, and design materials that align with UC Irvine's brand standards.

You will coordinate with senior leaders, oversee external contractors, and co‑produce major events such as the annual Service Awards. Hybrid schedule: three days onsite, two days remote, in Irvine.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of communications strategies across media.
• Experience leading creative and technical teams.
• Strong understanding of higher education and health sciences.
• Ability to develop long- and short-term strategic plans.
• Ability to advise management on communications and respond to inquiries.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and project management.

Responsibilities

• Author and edit messages, produce enterprise-wide communications via ZotMail.
• Design newsletters and publications aligning with brand standards.
• Coordinate with HR leadership and stakeholders to address business needs.
• Lead design and execution of integrated campaigns across media.
• Oversee external contractors and vendors to ensure quality and timelines.
