UC Irvine Human Resources seeks a Communications Specialist to lead strategic communications across written, visual, digital and electronic media. The role blends hands-on production with strategic oversight, partnering with HR leadership to align messaging with brand standards and program goals.

You will manage content for ZotMail, newsletters, and publications, coordinate external vendors, and co-produce major events such as the Service Awards. A hybrid work model is offered.

Qualifikationen

• Advanced knowledge of communications including strategic planning for various media and applications.
• Advanced knowledge of applying media to professional teams and projects.
• Strong knowledge of higher education, health sciences, and healthcare context.
• Ability to develop long and short term strategic communication plans.
• Ability to advise management on communications and respond to inquiries.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communications and political acumen.
• Analytical, project management and problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of location protocols and channels for internal/external communications.
• Experience leading or co-producing events.

Aufgaben

• Oversee comprehensive communications strategies and programs for UC Irvine Human Resources.
• Author and edit organizational messages and distribute enterprise communications.
• Design and format newsletters and publications for internal and external audiences.
• Manage external contractors and vendors to meet quality and timelines.
• Lead holistic, integrated campaigns across written, visual, digital media.
• Co-produce major tentpole events, including annual Service Awards.
• Act as acting lead for communications when Senior Director is absent.
