Job summary

Texas Association of Counties seeks a communications professional to develop strategies, content and messaging for print and digital materials. You will serve as a liaison to internal departments and help manage podcasts, magazines, blogs and other media assets.

You will oversee projects from planning to measurement, craft engaging materials for multiple channels, and ensure alignment with TAC's mission and brand. Some travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or related field; six to eight years may substitute.
• Minimum five years’ experience in a communications-related field, including journalism, media, publications, public relations or marketing.
• Experience with local government, professional associations, insurance, or risk management is strongly preferred.
• Experience in a client-facing role developing marketing and communications materials for products or services is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees communications projects from strategy development to results measurement.
• Serves as liaison to at least one internal department and assists with media assets (podcast, magazine, blog).
• Creates content for publications, promotional materials, website, social media and other digital platforms.
• Writes, copyedits, proofs, and revises communications content as necessary.
• Coordinates and manages client requirements and project timelines.
• Develops and implements comprehensive communication strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Ensures materials reflect TAC's mission and brand standards.
