Job summary

Eccalon, LLC is seeking a Strategic Communications Specialist in the Pentagon area (Arlington, VA) to support the Under Secretary for Acquisition and Sustainment. The ideal candidate will craft strategic communications, brief senior DoD leadership, and coordinate with Public Affairs and other DoD components.

The role requires strong writing, editing, and talking points development for a fast-paced, high-security environment and the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• 5+ years writing, editing, preparing briefs, and creating talking points for senior DoD leadership.
• Experience in federal government, federal government consulting, or Office of the Secretary of War.
• Strong communication principles and ability to persuade audiences at all levels.
• Experience delivering strategic communications through multiple media (print and digital).
• Ability to multitask and prioritize for senior staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute communication strategies to support mission and priorities.
• Provide enterprise-level internal and external communications support and manage channels, products, and partnerships.
• Create and disseminate information to stakeholders about initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to produce communications products and plans.
• Lead development of reports, presentations, scripts, talking points, and press materials for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Coordinate with Public Affairs, Legislative Affairs, and other DoD components.
• Plan and manage projects and events as required.
