Job summary

Eccalon, LLC seeks a Strategic Communications Specialist to support the Office of the Under Secretary for Acquisition and Sustainment at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. The role focuses on creating and implementing strategic communications for senior DoD leaders and coordinating with DoD components.

The position requires a TS/SCI clearance and extensive experience in federal government communications, with strong writing, editing, and briefing abilities.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI Clearance.
• 5+ years of experience supporting senior DoD leadership with writing, editing, briefs, and talking points.
• Experience in federal government, federal government consulting, or Office of the Secretary of War.
• Expertise in communications principles, methods, and techniques for informing and persuading diverse audiences.
• Experience designing and delivering strategic communications across media (print and digital).
• Ability to prioritize tasks per senior staff requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service mentality, initiative, judgment, creativity, flexibility and confidence.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute communication strategies to support mission and priorities.
• Provide enterprise-level internal and external communications support.
• Convey, promote, and disseminate information to stakeholders about initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to produce communications products and plans.
• Lead development of reports, articles, presentations, talking points, testimony, web content, and press releases for diverse audiences.
• Liaise with Public Affairs, Legislative Affairs, and other DoD components.
• Plan and manage projects and events as needed.
