Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, English, or related field.
  • 5–7 years in communications, marketing, or public relations.
  • Experience building strategies for complex organizations with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience writing for diverse audiences and platforms (web, print, email, speeches).
  • Experience managing multi-partner projects, deadlines, and budgets.
  • Experience supervising vendors, interns, or contractors.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling.
  • Ability to advise senior leaders on strategy and sensitive matters.
  • Knowledge of AP Style and/or Chicago Manual of Style.
  • Experience with Drupal and web analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead creation and dissemination of communications across web, digital, print, email, and multimedia.
  • Develop messaging, executive correspondence, speeches, reports, newsletters, and executive correspondence.
  • Oversee media inquiries and coordinate responses with University Communications.
  • Publicize faculty achievements and institutional priorities through storytelling.
  • Direct web content strategy and analytics for the Office of the Dean of the Faculty.
  • Manage complex projects, calendars, and vendor relationships.
  • Support governance, organizational change, and cross-functional initiatives.
