Job summary

KBR is seeking a Strategic Communications Specialist for the Patuxent River Naval Air Station, MD. The role focuses on communicating program priorities, plans, status, and themes to DoD leadership and sponsors, working with PAE and senior leaders to craft messaging for Congress, DoD, Navy, and industry.

Requirements include four years in strategic communications, DoD security clearances or eligibility, and proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of Navy TACAIR and strong writing skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma
• Experience: 4+ years in strategic communications
• Security: SSBI or Tier 5 within last 5 years; Final Top Secret desired
• Software: proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Adobe Acrobat and SharePoint
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute comprehensive communication strategies aligned with customer objectives
• Identify delivery methods and channels to engage target audiences
• Plan content management processes for timely, relevant information
• Develop message maps, story boards and scripts to reflect customer messaging
• Establish and evaluate continual process improvement strategies
• Collaborate with customer and industry partners on communications
• Gather information for service requests and assist to meet requirements
