Job summary

The Meyer Foundation in Washington, DC is seeking a Senior Communications Associate to coordinate editorial processes and co-produce content for multiple channels. You will support campaigns, events, and stories, ensuring branding is consistent and accessible across formats.

You will craft first drafts, edit materials, and help manage multimedia projects including podcasts and videos, while collaborating across teams to provide communications counsel and training.

Qualifications

• Strong written communication skills with proficiency in AP Style.
• Experience in content creation, editing, and project coordination.
• Experience with content management systems and editorial calendars.
• Knowledge of DEIJ-focused communications and inclusive language.
• Ability to manage branding guidelines and ensure consistent style across materials.
• Familiarity with multimedia production and social media metrics.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and streamline processes across teams to bring campaigns and ideas to fruition.
• Co-manage the Foundation’s editorial/content calendar and co-produce content for social media, emails, blog, and website.
• Support gathering and amplification of community and grantee events and stories.
• Develop and execute special projects including podcast and video production.
• Generate first drafts of diverse content (press releases, blog posts, statements).
• Update the Foundation’s branding and communications guides and ensure consistent branding and style.
• Proofread and edit materials for clarity, grammar, and layout; ensure current language in DEIJ space.
• Evaluate and publish multimedia with ADA standards (alt text, captions, transcripts).
• Collaborate across teams to provide internal communications counsel and training.
• Other duties as assigned.
