Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Strategic Communications Manager 2 to lead the Content, Outreach & Resource Execution (CORE) team of communicators responsible for executing our communications strategy across the Space portfolio.

In this role, you will provide day-to-day leadership, guidance and prioritization for a core content execution team, ensuring they deliver compelling, integrated communications that support priority campaigns, programs and capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of experience in a Communications capacity or 4+ years with a Master-level degree.
• People leadership experience with talent development.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to obtain a government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the CORE content execution team, providing day-to-day direction.
• Own CORE team operations: intake, resourcing, workflows and continuous improvement.
• Partner with strategy/operations and division teams to bring the Space story to life.
• Translate strategy into execution plans and ensure alignment with campaigns.
• Develop integrated communication plans and narratives for major initiatives.
• Use data/feedback to assess impact and refine content, channels and processes.
• Collaborate with leaders to align priorities and drive consistent execution.
• Provide leadership, mentoring and coaching to build a high-performing team.
