Job summary

CAIR-Georgia, the Georgia chapter of America’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, is seeking a Communications Director or Manager to lead external communications from Atlanta, GA. The role oversees a Communications Coordinator and collaborates with the Executive Director.

The position offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement, with two title tracks: Director (3+ years in management) or Manager (2+ years in related experience).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field or 2+ years of directly relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• 2+ years of experience managing social media, digital content, or organizational communications (3+ years for Director).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities with capacity to manage multiple content streams and projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a 12-month editorial calendar with themes, milestones, and goals.
• Manage presence across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X; publish 5+ posts weekly.
• Draft, edit, and publish press releases and media kits; coordinate media outreach.
• Create and distribute monthly MailChimp newsletters; support fundraising campaigns.
