Job summary

Madison County HR is seeking a Communications Manager to lead countywide communications, branding, and community engagement. This role provides strategic direction and independently manages a comprehensive program to promote services, programs, projects, events, and initiatives across the county.

The Manager partners with the Chairman and County leadership to identify communication needs, develop content across platforms, manage media relations, and ensure accurate, timely information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years of communications experience.
• Experience developing marketing or communications strategies across multiple platforms.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
• Experience with social media or digital communications management.
• Experience working with executive leadership and media representatives preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate a comprehensive countywide communications strategy.
• Maintain a consistent county brand across platforms.
• Produce content for social media, websites, newsletters, press releases.
• Coordinate media interviews and press conferences.
• Assist leadership with talking points and public information materials.
• Monitor trends and analyze engagement metrics.
