First Nations Development Institute is seeking a Senior Director of Communications—Copywriter to lead writing, editing, and production of compelling content across digital and print channels. You will curate and refine materials that align with the communications strategy and elevate Native communities through storytelling.

Qualifications

• Strong administrative ability with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines.

• Competent self-starter who takes initiative and works independently.

Responsibilities

• Curate, write, edit, and proofread content and copy as assigned, and provide thought leadership for the development and production of new content.
• Advance First Nations’ strengths in storytelling and uplifting community partners.
• Contribute to messaging and content creation that underscores First Nations’ impact and depth of research; adheres to brand and voice.
• Work closely with communications team in helping determine and meet deliverables.
• Serve in a significant writing role with attention to detail for accuracy, consistency, voice, and brand.
• Adhere to and update the organization’s style and messaging guide to ensure consistent voice and identity.
