GISB is seeking a Director of Communications & Advancement to lead strategic communications, marketing, and donor relations. The role supports family recruitment and retention, strengthens the school’s brand, and coordinates across teams with a hands-on leadership approach.

The role oversees the Marketing & Design Coordinator, drives outreach to alumni, donors, and the Greater Boston community, and collaborates with school leadership to advance institutional priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field.
• 5+ years in communications, marketing, public relations, advancement, or related field.
• Experience building multichannel campaigns and donor relations.
• Professional working proficiency in English and German with strong writing in both languages.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the school’s communications, marketing, and advancement strategies.
• Write, edit, and publish newsletters, publications, website content, press releases, and crisis communications.
• Lead media relations and manage community outreach in Greater Boston and beyond.
• Oversee fundraising initiatives, donor engagement, and donor communications.
• Supervise the Marketing & Design Coordinator and ensure high-quality output across campaigns.
• Collaborate with school leaders to align communications with strategic priorities and outcomes.
