Job summary

Spectrum Control is seeking a Commodity Manager to develop and execute commodity strategies that support its operational and financial goals across multiple locations. You will lead a team of three commodity professionals and be involved in major supplier negotiations, contracts, and cost-reduction initiatives in aerospace, defense, and high-reliability markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management or supply-chain management.
• 2+ years of direct people management experience.
• Experience sourcing technical components, materials, or manufacturing services within aerospace, defense, electronics, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity strategies aligned with business objectives and manufacturing needs.
• Lead supplier negotiations, contracting, cost analysis, and risk mitigation.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance to improve lead times and reduce costs.
• Identify and execute cost-reduction, value engineering, and working-capital improvements.
• Lead and develop a team of commodity professionals with clear priorities and KPIs.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations on supplier transitions and make-versus-buy decisions.
