Qualifications

• Must have strong contract-writing ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Windows-based software, especially Excel.
• Team-oriented to support procurement, nutrition, and sales.

Responsibilities

• Planning and Demand Forecasting of ingredient and raw material needs.
• Merchandising various commodities and taking positions.
• Writing contracts that put our company in favorable positions versus competitors and the marketplace.
• Sourcing new product suppliers and origins.
• Complete market and competitor research and analysis.
• Pursuing freight savings by creating competition and finding new haulers.
• Filling customer orders by coordinating direct ship loads.
• Resolve purchasing problems with vendors, suppliers, and programs, including defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.
