Job summary

Highland Bank in Maple Grove, MN is seeking a Portfolio Manager to manage and service a portfolio of smaller to midsize Commercial Banking relationships. You will monitor loan covenants, review cash flow analyses, and communicate with Commercial Bankers to manage risk and ensure timely actions.

Key duties include underwriting for new money and renewals over $500,000, annual reviews, past-due loan monitoring, and coordinating closings with appraisals, credit reports, and collateral verification.

Qualifications

• Financial statement analysis background with proven credit skills.
• Lending philosophy aligned with the Bank.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• PC skills including word processing and spreadsheets.
• Maintains knowledge of bank operations, products, regulatory requirements.
• Leadership abilities to guide subordinates.
• Attention to detail.
• Knowledge of legal and regulatory banking compliance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor loan portfolio and ensure timely covenant tests and comments.
• Review past-due loans and overdraft activity.
• Underwrite new money requests for exposures >$500,000.
• Underwrite renewal loans for exposures >$500,000.
• Perform annual reviews for exposures >$500,000.
• Prepare and review Problem Loan Reports with cash flow analysis.
• Coordinate loan closings with collateral verification and documentation.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and accurate documentation.
