Bank of Tennessee is seeking a Commercial Portfolio Manager to support portfolio growth and client relationships across the lending process. You will underwrite, structure, and prepare approvals for commercial loan products, while maintaining knowledge of credit policy, regulations, and asset quality.
You will interact with Relationship Managers, Real Estate Services, and external parties, ensuring excellent client service and adherence to bank standards.
As a Commercial Portfolio Manager, you will utilize your experience and working knowledge of managing clients through the various stages of the lending process to support the portfolio growth of assigned Relationship Manager(s). The Commercial Portfolio Manager will maintain up-to-date knowledge of bank products, credit policy, and regulatory guidelines in order to underwrite, structure and prepare approvals for loan products. In this role, you are responsible for the day-to-day client interaction to include onboarding, maintenance and monitoring of assigned portfolios to ensure asset quality and customer service standards are met while adhering to standards and policies set forth by the bank and applicable regulatory agencies. This role is highly visible in the Bank and requires a high level of professionalism and self-awareness.
This position largely operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively with customers, customer prospects, management, employees and various other external parties. Regular use of the telephone and email for communication is essential. Remaining in a stationary position for extended periods of time is common as is traveling with the RM to meet with customers and customer prospects in various locations in the community. Must be able to accurately gather and process verbal and written information and properly prepare or inspect documents. Good manual dexterity is needed for the frequent use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculators, copiers and telephones. Occasional out-of-town or overnight travel may be required.
