Job summary

Highland Bank in Maple Grove, MN is seeking a Portfolio Manager to manage a portfolio of smaller to midsize Commercial Banking relationships. You will monitor loan portfolios, review cash flow, and ensure timely underwriting for new money and renewals over $500,000 in exposure, with an emphasis on accuracy and compliance.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting (or equivalent experience), strong credit analysis, and solid communication.

Qualifications

• Financial statement analysis background with proven credit skills including analysis, documentation, and structure.
• Lending philosophy consistent with the Bank.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and compliance awareness.
• Knowledge of bank operations, products, services and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Portfolio Monitoring: review loan covenants, etc., for relationships >$500k.
• Past due loan monitoring and overdraft activity review.
• Underwriting for new money requests >$500k, timely timelines.
• Underwriting renewals for >$500k, ensure maturity deadlines.
• Annual reviews for >$500k exposure, timely completion.
• Prepare PLR reports with cash flow analyses and collateral review.
• Coordinate appraisals, credit reports, and closing items.
• Review loan documents for accuracy and maintain workflow.
• Collaborate with Commercial Banker for client experience and compliance.
• Ensure regulatory knowledge and training; protect customer data.
