Rockland Trust is seeking a Commercial Loan Officer to build and manage banking relationships with commercial clients in the Boston area. You will source new business, structure and price loans, and cross-sell related financial services to support clients’ financing and cash-management needs.

The role emphasizes strong credit judgment, market knowledge, and proactive client engagement to grow a robust commercial lending portfolio within the community.

Qualifications

• Five years of commercial lending experience (C&I and CRE) preferred.
• Strong credit skills and a track record of developing and closing new business.
• Ability to analyze credit and structure deals within lending limits.
• Knowledge of regulatory, compliance and due diligence requirements.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develops new business opportunities through client solicitation and industry involvement.
• Services a wide variety of secured and unsecured loans or lines of credit.
• Cross-sell cash management, investment management and deposit products.
• Maintain frequent contact with customers and anticipate needs.
• Review credits and credit applications; advise on structuring and pricing.
