Job summary

Foothills Bank in Montana is seeking a Commercial Lender to drive department growth and profitability by developing and retaining relationships with commercial clients and managing a portfolio of loans.

You will obtain loan applications, interview clients, analyze financial data to determine creditworthiness and appropriate pricing, ensure accurate loan documentation and compliance, monitor delinquencies, and stay current on lending regulations while supporting training and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed loan production goal as set annually by manager in conjunction with goals set for Glacier Bank annual production.
• Obtain loan applications and interview clients. Analyze financial and related data to determine credit worthiness, appropriate pricing and loan structure while focusing on prompt and fair service regardless of approval or denial.
• Confirm details on loan documentation are complete and correct prior to closing to insure accuracy and are in compliance with state and federal regulations as well as bank policy. All credit reports, financial statements, tax returns, title insurance commitments and appraisals are reviewed prior to closings. All supporting documentation is in the file and initialed.
• Monitor loan delinquency and proactively identify credit problems. Manage loan accounts for current documentation, performance and total bank relationship. Respond to exception and compliance error reporting promptly to prevent or minimize potential losses.
• Keep current on loan programs and lending (federal and state) regulations as well as all compliance and bank policies and procedures. Participate in the preparation and presentation of commercial training sessions.
