Job summary

Rapid7’s Legal team is seeking a Legal Counsel, Commercial, to support go-to-customer initiatives. You will provide proactive, practical legal advice across the customer lifecycle and collaborate with Sales, Renewals, Channel & Partner teams, Procurement, and external customers and vendors.

Your focus includes drafting and negotiating software licenses, SaaS agreements, NDAs, services agreements, SOWs, and order forms, and translating complex legal concepts for non-legal audiences.

Qualifications

• 2+ years drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements.
• Experience with software licensing, SaaS, NDAs, services agreements, SOWs, and order forms.
• Ability to translate legal concepts for non-legal audiences.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Finance, Privacy, and Security teams.
• Interest in public sector procurement and FedRAMP familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive legal advice across the customer lifecycle.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including licenses, SaaS, NDAs, SOWs.
• Partner with Sales, Finance, Privacy, and Information Security teams.
• Support public sector procurement and FedRAMP requirements.
