Job summary

The President will work with the Board of Governors and Senior Leadership to ensure quality, profitability, and long-term success, including up to 30% travel and alignment of resources with student outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and fulfills the College’s mission
• Provides leadership in setting and communicating expectations of educational excellence and integrity throughout the institution
• Serves as a member of the Senior Leadership and Executive Council
• May serve as a member of the Board of Governors
• Assures support for the effective operation of the institution
• Assures compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations
• Implements and administers board policies
• Acts as a liaison between the board and college administration
• Oversees and evaluates the institution’s administrative structures
• Delegates authority to administrators and others consistent with their responsibilities
• Guides institutional improvement of the teaching and learning environment by establishing a collegial process
• Ensuring that evaluation and planning rely on high quality research and analysis on external and internal conditions
• Ensuring that educational planning is integrated with resource planning and distribution to achieve student learning outcomes
• Establishing procedures to evaluate overall institutional planning and implementation efforts.
• Effectively controls budget and expenditures and assures fair distribution of resources to support the achievement of the mission
• Works and communicates effectively with the communities served by the College
• Regularly evaluates governance and decision-making structures and processes to assure their integrity and effectiveness in assisting the institution in meeting educational goals.
