Job summary

Meriton in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Collections Specialist to manage a dedicated portfolio of accounts, ensure timely payments, and minimize outstanding balances. You will work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and serve as the primary contact for customer inquiries and disputes.

Responsibilities include monitoring aging, initiating collections via phone and email, coordinating with billing, and documenting all interactions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM.

Qualifications

• Associates degree and/or 3+ years of experience in collections.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, particularly Financial & Operations, is a plus.
• Familiarity with ticketing/case management systems is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned customer accounts for open balances and aging status.
• Initiate and document collections outreach via phone and email.
• Escalate accounts approaching exceeded aging to senior staff.
• Coordinate with billing and service departments to resolve disputed invoices or misapplied payments.
• Maintain proper records for audit readiness and lien filings.
