Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System in New York seeks a Project Manager II to drive operational and strategic initiatives across clinical departments and the health system. You will coordinate cross-functional projects from planning through implementation by developing project plans, tracking milestones and deliverables, and providing regular status updates.

You will support workflow development, governance, meeting coordination, risk identification, and follow-up activities to ensure initiatives progress

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in healthcare project management.
• Experience in an academic health system is a plus; proficient in MS Office and PM software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates cross-functional projects from planning through implementation with timely execution.
• Develops and maintains project plans, milestones, and deliverables.
• Facilitates stakeholder engagement and provides regular status updates.
• Supports governance, meeting coordination, and risk identification.
• Tracks progress, prepares reports, and aligns initiatives with strategic goals.
• Maintains knowledge of the medical school structure and operational needs.
• Communicates plans and tasks clearly to team members and committees.
• Sets performance objectives and measures progress toward goals.
• Builds strategic relationships to advance clinical and business goals.
• Translates priorities into operational reality with measurable results.
• Monitors regulatory changes and adjusts project plans accordingly.
• Performs other related duties as needed.
