Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a Clinical Manager, Pharmacy to lead strategic planning, execution, and monitoring of clinical pharmacy services across our hospitals. The role focuses on formulary management, cost savings, staff development, and program oversight.

You will implement and maintain clinical software, develop DUE/MUE initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with Winchester Medical Center’s Pharmacy Residency Program and Shenandoah University for clinical programs.

Qualifications

• BS Pharmacy or PharmD and advanced degree or certification required.
• ASHP accredited residency completion preferred.
• 3–5 years acute care and clinical management pharmacy experience.
• Virginia Pharmacist License or licensure eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage drug formulary processes and implement cost savings initiatives through contracts and P&T activities.
• Manage, assess and optimize staff performance of clinical services.
• Develop training and educational programming and competencies for clinical programs.
• Implement and maintain clinical pharmacy software applications.
• Develop and manage DUE/MUE and performance improvement programs for pharmacy.
• Work collaboratively with team to assure regulatory and survey compliance.
• Serve as system content expert for progressive clinical pharmacy services, assuring standardized outcomes at all entities.
• Provide oversight for the Winchester Medical Center Pharmacy Residency Program.
• Liaise with Shenandoah University for clinical programs.
