Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina is seeking a Strategic Client Consultant I to drive retention and growth for Major Markets. You will lead relationships with key stakeholders, analyze client data, and deliver data-backed recommendations to maximize value for existing clients.

The role emphasizes trusted advisor status with producers, collaboration across Client Services, and proactive renewal coordination, with a hybrid-flex work model in North Carolina.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree required.
• 3+ years of experience in related field; or 5+ years in lieu of degree.
• Must obtain NC Health and Life Insurance license within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Retain existing business and maximize group retention; ensure profitability.
• Negotiate renewals and identify growth opportunities in ancillary products and services.
• Manage group data and profiles; support data-driven opportunities.
• Analyze client financials/utilization and industry benchmarks.
• Develop trusted advisor relationships with producers; leverage market trends.
• Collaborate with Client Services to address group issues and ensure delivery.
• Coordinate renewals with Group Center of Excellence and Operations.
• Promote BCBSNC presence in the community and industry benchmarking.
